On our small farm in the Limousin, everything begins with the soil.
In our biodynamic garden, Djurre grows vegetables, herbs and fruit in tune with the seasons.
Fruit and nut trees grow in our pastures, and our three sheep help keep the landscape naturally maintained.
We don’t just harvest vegetables here.
We also harvest ideas – and from those ideas, our products were born.
What our land provides is meant for both humans and horses.
For humans:

Boerderijproducten & Natuurlijke Paardenproducten
Op onze kleine boerderij in de Limousin begint alles bij de aarde.
In onze biodynamische moestuin kweekt Djurre groenten, kruiden en fruit in het ritme van de seizoenen. In de weides groeien fruit- en notenbomen, en onze drie schapen helpen het landschap op een natuurlijke manier onderhouden.
We oogsten hier niet alleen groente van het land.
We oogsten ook ideeën – en daar zijn onze producten uit geboren.
Wat uit ons land komt, is er voor mens én paard.
Voor mensen:
groenten, kruiden, fruit en noten uit de tuin en boomweides
seizoensproducten die je tijdens je verblijf kunt proeven
een aankomstmand (forfait repas) vol lokaal en huisgemaakt lekkers

Sur notre petite ferme du Limousin, tout commence par la terre.
Dans notre potager biodynamique, Djurre cultive légumes, herbes et fruits au rythme des saisons.
Dans nos prés poussent des arbres fruitiers et des noyers, et nos trois moutons entretiennent le paysage naturellement.
Ici, nous ne récoltons pas seulement des légumes.
Nous récoltons aussi des idées – et de ces idées sont nés nos produits.
Ce que notre terre offre, s’adresse à la fois aux humains et aux chevaux.

Quiet places on the land
Across the land, there are small, quiet places where you can slow down, sit and simply be.
A chair in the garden, a wooden bench overlooking the hills, a terrace in the evening light, or a quiet spot near the horses*.
Nothing is organised here.
You are free to find your own place, your own rhythm.
You might find yourself…
sitting in the garden, writing or simply watching the day pass
resting on the hill behind the house, overlooking the wide landscape
sharing a quiet moment on the terrace near the gîte or the guest kitchen
gathering around the fire in the evening
taking a chair down to the stream near the horses*, just to observe and listen
No program. Just presence.
These places are not activities.
They are invitations.
*The horses can only be visited together with us, so we can ensure a calm and respectful space for both horses and people.
Stille plekken op het land
Over het terrein vind je verschillende rustige plekken waar je kunt vertragen, zitten en gewoon zijn.
Een stoel in de tuin, een houten bankje met uitzicht over de heuvels, een terras in het avondlicht of een stille plek bij de paarden*.
Er is hier niets dat moet.
Je volgt je eigen ritme.
Misschien vind je jezelf…
in de tuin, schrijvend of gewoon kijkend naar de dag
boven op de heuvel, uitkijkend over het landschap
op het terras bij de gîte of de gastenkeuken
rond het vuur in de avond
met een stoel bij het beekje, kijkend naar de paarden*
Geen programma. Alleen aanwezigheid.
Deze plekken zijn geen activiteiten.
Het zijn uitnodigingen.
*De paarden kunnen alleen samen met ons bezocht worden, zodat we rust en veiligheid voor zowel de paarden als de mensen kunnen waarborgen.
Des lieux de calme
Sur le terrain, vous trouverez plusieurs endroits tranquilles pour ralentir, vous asseoir et simplement être.
Une chaise dans le jardin, un banc en bois avec vue sur les collines, une terrasse au coucher du soleil ou un coin paisible près des chevaux*.
Rien n’est organisé ici.
Vous êtes libre de suivre votre propre rythme.

*Les chevaux peuvent être approchés uniquement en notre présence, afin de préserver un espace calme et respectueux pour les chevaux et les personnes.

Our trees, our wood – a natural circle of giving and receiving
We live surrounded by our own forests, heath and pastures.
The trees here are part of our daily rhythm and of the natural life of our herd.
We never cut for commercial purposes.
We cut selectively and ecologically, only when necessary for:
the health of the forest
opening space and light for grass to grow
safe access paths
maintaining shelters and grazing fields
All the wood is reused on the farm:
Firewood
For our home, our holiday rentals and sometimes for neighbours in need.
Fence posts from our own land
Every post around the horse pastures is made from our own trees – untreated, local and sustainable.
Hay shelters & small constructions
Also built entirely from our own wood, in the same philosophy: take what is needed, give back wherever possible.
In short:
We live with the forest, not at its expense.
Onze bomen, ons hout – een cirkel van geven en teruggeven
We wonen midden in een uitgestrekt landschap van eigen bos, heide en weiland.
De bomen die hier staan, zijn deel van ons dagelijks leven én van het ritme van onze kudde.
Wij kappen niet commercieel, maar ecologisch en selectief – alleen waar het nodig is voor:
de gezondheid van het bos
het openen van licht en ruimte voor grasgroei
veilige wandelpaden voor mens en dier
het onderhoud van de weides en schuilplekken
Het hout krijgt bij ons altijd een tweede leven:
Haardhout
Voor onszelf, de gîtes en soms voor dorpsgenoten die warmte nodig hebben.
Omheiningspalen uit eigen bos
Elke paal rond onze weilanden komt van ons land – geen gekocht geïmpregneerd hout, maar puur, lokaal en natuurlijk.
Hooihutjes & kleine constructies
Ook deze zijn gebouwd met hout uit ons eigen bos, volgens hetzelfde principe: nemen wat nodig is, teruggeven wat kan.
Ons beheer is eenvoudig samen te vatten:
Wij leven met het bos, niet erboven.
We nemen nooit meer dan wat het land zelf aanbiedt.
Nos arbres, notre bois – un cercle naturel de respect et d’équilibre
Nous vivons au cœur de nos propres forêts, landes et prairies.
Les arbres qui nous entourent font partie de notre quotidien et du rythme naturel de notre troupeau.
Nous ne coupons jamais pour le commerce, mais de manière sélective et écologique, uniquement lorsque cela est nécessaire pour :
la santé de la forêt
laisser la lumière nourrir les prairies
sécuriser les chemins
entretenir les abris et les pâturages
Le bois est ensuite réutilisé chez nous :
Bois de chauffage
Pour nous, pour nos gîtes et parfois pour les habitants du village.

Chaque poteau autour de nos pâturages provient de nos propres arbres – naturel, durable, sans traitement chimique.
Abris à foin et petites constructions
Tous construits avec notre bois, dans le même esprit : prendre seulement ce que la nature offre.
Notre philosophie est simple :
vivre avec la forêt, et non à son détriment.

Cheeses from the Haute-Vienne
Eggs from the neighbours free-range hens (when available)
Seasonal vegetables from Djurre’s biodynamic garden
Fruit or nuts from the meadows (seasonal)
Homemade soup
Basics such as pasta or rice
Local wine or artisanal juice
Carefully prepared so you can relax upon arrival and immediately enjoy your stay.

Aankomstpakket – begin uw verblijf in alle rust
Na een lange reis is het heerlijk als u niet meteen hoeft te koken of boodschappen te doen.
Wij bieden daarom een aankomstpakket met lokale, eenvoudige en smakelijke producten – rechtstreeks uit onze keuken, tuin of regio.
U kunt zelf uw pakket samenstellen. Denk aan:

Kazen uit de Haute-Vienne
Eieren van de buren zijn scharrelkippen (als beschikbaar)
Seizoensgroenten uit Djurre’s biodynamische moestuin
Fruit of noten uit de weides (seizoensgebonden)

We pakken alles met zorg voor u in, zodat u ontspannen kunt aankomen en meteen kunt genieten van uw verblijf.

Nous proposons donc un panier d’arrivée composé de produits locaux, simples et savoureux – issus de notre jardin, de notre cuisine ou de la région.

What is a healthy horse?
To us, it is a horse living the way nature intended: moving freely, living in a herd, outdoors, with access to natural elements that support physical and emotional balance.
From observing our own herds on our rugged land, we created our Natural Horse Apothecary:
a place where horses can choose what their bodies truly need.
Our product range includes:
Mineral Bar – raw & natural
A unique concept designed by us: clay, seaweed lime, kelp, coarse sea salt, diatomaceous earth, volcanic rock dust and natural trace elements.
Horses select instinctively what they are deficient in.
Herb Bar – seasonal & intuitive
A rotating selection of natural herbs supporting digestion, breathing, immunity, hooves and vitality.
Drinking Cures – gentle internal support
Clay water, apple cider vinegar, herbal infusions and natural mineral drinks.
Always soft, never forced.
Hand-built wooden stations.
Built with sustainably sourced wood.
All our mineral and herb stations are handmade by us, using locally purchased wood and sometimes wood taken directly from our own land.

Wat is een gezond paard?
Voor ons is dat een paard dat leeft zoals de natuur het bedoeld heeft: in beweging, in kuddeverband, in de buitenlucht – met toegang tot de natuurlijke elementen die het lichaam in balans houden.
Vanuit onze eigen kuddes, het heuvelachtige terrein en jarenlange observaties ontstond onze Natuurlijke Paardenapotheek:
een plek waar paarden zelf kunnen kiezen wat hun lichaam nodig heeft.
Onze productenlijn bestaat uit:
Mineralenbar – droog & puur
Onze unieke zelfontwikkelde mineralenbar bevat natuurlijke grondstoffen zoals klei, zeewierkalk, kelp, kiezelaarde, rotsmeel, grof zeezout en sporenelementen. Paarden kiezen intuïtief exact wat hun lichaam tekortkomt.
Kruidenbar – volgens seizoen & behoefte
Een selectie van zorgvuldig gekozen kruiden, die passen bij de tijd van het jaar en de noden van sobere paarden: brandnetel, rozemarijn, tijm, weegbree, rozenbottel, paardenbloemwortel, enzovoort.
Drinkkuren – zachte ondersteuning van binnenuit
Kleiwater, appelazijn, kruideninfusies en natuurlijke ontzuring.
Altijd mild — nooit dwingend.
Handgemaakte houten stations.
Gebouwd met duurzaam gewonnen hout.
Alle mineralen- en kruidenstations bouwen wij zelf, met lokaal ingekocht hout en soms hout rechtstreeks uit ons eigen terrein.
Duurzaam, stevig, veilig én passend in de natuurlijke omgeving.
Onze paarden laten het ons elke dag zien:
wanneer je hen keuzevrijheid geeft, kiezen ze instinctief wat hun lichaam nodig heeft.

Qu’est-ce qu’un cheval en bonne santé ?
Pour nous, c’est un cheval vivant comme la nature l’a prévu : en mouvement, en troupeau, en plein air – avec un accès libre aux éléments naturels qui soutiennent son équilibre.
De nos observations quotidiennes et de la vie de nos propres troupeaux est née notre Apothicairerie Naturelle pour Chevaux :
un espace où les chevaux peuvent choisir eux-mêmes ce dont leur corps a besoin.
Notre gamme se compose de :
Bar à minéraux – brut & naturel
Un concept unique conçu par nous-mêmes : argile, lithothamne, kelp, sel marin grossier, terre de diatomée, poudres minérales et oligo-éléments.
Les chevaux sélectionnent instinctivement ce qu’il leur manque.
Bar à herbes – selon la saison et le tempérament
Des herbes choisies avec soin pour soutenir digestion, respiration, peau, sabots et vitalité : ortie, plantain, cynorrhodon, thym, racines diverses…
Cures à boire – soutien doux et naturel
Eau d’argile, vinaigre de cidre, infusions d’herbes, drainage léger.
Jamais agressif, toujours respectueux.

Tous nos stations de minéraux et d’herbes sont fabriquées par nos soins, avec du bois acheté localement et parfois du bois provenant directement de notre propre terrain.
